Monday mornings

Aurora and Daddy spend monday mornings visiting the compost bin in Greyfriar's kirkyard before heading to the museum. They have been intently watching the trees budd and flowers blossom. They've also been discussing bigger issues; Byron asked Aurora if she knew what a tombstone was as she was sitting on one? Byron said it was to remember dead people. Did Aurora know what a dead person was? She emphatically replied 'God is dead'. Byron had a Nietzsche moment before realising the only context in which she would hear about death is in relation to Jesus. So, we're not sure quite what she's put together there. I guess if all you know about death at age 2 is that God has been there, that's probably a better place to start than many of us.
