Ian's visit

We enjoyed a visit from Ian. He introduced Byron to the Wallabies on tour which didn't turn out quite as hoped! We had fun nonetheless.

Baby Shower II

Jane is my partner in crime. She's due 3 weeks before me. Here we are posing with our tummy tape, another game which involved guessing the size of our bellies.

Baby Shower I

The baby was kindly showered by a bunch of lovely ladies from church. The afternoon involved a one-handed nappy change which I did not win and a whole bunch of crazy trivia and gifts. It was fun and I came home very well stocked.

Rich is here!

We enjoyed a Scottish weekend with Rich; see us here with Scottish fare of haggis, neeps & tatties and IRN-BRU. We just forgot the whisky.

Climate Rally in the grey

We joined a climate rally organised by 350.org to call for strong action and bold leadership on climate change in Copenhagen as part of 5,200 events worldwide. Ours was pretty small, but it was good to do something.

Visitors: Caitlyn & Co

We enjoyed seeing Caitlyn and her friends who were visiting on a whirlwind trip via overnight bus rides back and forth from Oxford. They made us a lovely meal and we received a great cot blanket from her Mum, Alison - thank you!

Nappies

It's embarrassing to be excited about Nappies! We've chosen Baby Beehinds, but if I was living in Oz I might have been tempted by Bambootys. Who knows if we'll be happy...

Douglas Coupland at the Book Festival

We enjoyed hearing Douglas Coupland (author of Generation X, amongst other works) talk about his new book Generation A, though he is completely crazy!

St Paul's Cathedral

We went to a moving service at St Paul's Cathedral with Haydn's Missa in Angustiis providing the liturgy. The sermon to a bunch of tourists was about how you come to church to be unsettled by God - very stimulating!
